Debby Quigley and Judy Ramsey, are available on a limited basis for two or three-day workshops. During a workshop, they will help participants blend all the bits and pieces of exercises in order to achieve the “perfect” finished product. Games, concepts and techniques which build drive, attitude, focus, and precision will enable participants to get the most out of the dog they are currently training. In addition, attendees will be shown how to maintain drive, attention, enthusiasm, and accuracy through proofing. Please contact Debby for prices and availability.

TUESDAY    $140.00 /day before April 1!!

8am-12pm                      CUE to Q

Learn how to “Cue” your dog on course and get a “Q”! This high-density class focuses on breaking down cues and sequences that make up any agility course. Sequences range from the basic crosses (Front Cross and Rear Cross) to advanced handling moves such as threadles, serpentines, and 270’s.   All sequences will be broken down to a level suitable for beginning agility teams.  However, the focus on technical aspects of handling will benefit advanced handlers as well!

A consistent set of cues is the key to a confident dog; and a confident dog is the key to a speedy and qualifying performance!

Contact obstacles and weaves will not be addressed in this class.                     (Debby) $80

 

8am-12pm                 STRIKING A BALANCE”  

Speed, drive and control are essential elements for success in any venue!  No matter what venues you train for and show in, your ability to build and maintain a balance between drive and control is essential.   Attendees will be taught what to look for in order to determine their dog’s basic temperament.  From there, they will learn how to modify concepts and techniques to create and maintain an awesome balance in training!

1pm-5pm                       AGILITY COURSE ANALYSIS

Learning how to “read courses” and understand how to get the tightest most efficient line for your dog. This class will analyze a number of courses to form the best strategy to get the tightest course possible using your dogs natural instincts.  AKC/USDAA.

1pm-5pm                      “RALLY – KICKING IT UP A NOTCH!”

Take your rally training to the next level!    Learn how to build drive and increase your dog’s proficiency for rally skills and exercises!                                                         Judy Ramsey $80   

 

 

WEDNESDAY ($140/day before April 1)

8am-12pm              JUMP!  -  You say “jump” and your dog says “how high”??

Jumping skills are essential for all dogs competing in agility.  Attendees will learn how to recognize their dog’s ability to extend and collect over jumps when cued.  In addition to learning how to teach their dogs to extend and collect over jumps, attendees will also learn how to balance these important skills.                                                                               $80 (Debby)

                            

8am-12pm                “READY – SET – GO!”   -  Game Time!

Games pump your dog up and increase his desire to move quickly and complete the task at hand.    Attendees will be introduced to a variety of games and learn how to incorporate game play into training to help build and maintain focus and drive.                                                 $80 (Judy)

 

 

1pm-5pm                           LET’S GO HEELING!

Heeling is a skill that you and your dog will perform each time you enter a rally or obedience ring.    This workshop will help attendees introduce, train and maintain this skill in such a way that their dogs will learn to love heeling!     Additional instruction will include detailed work on turns, pace changes, figure 8 and transitioning to off leash heeling.     (Debby and Judy) $80

 

 

THURSDAY OBEDIENCE/RALLY ($140/day before April 1)

 

8am-12pm                    SUCCESS IS IN THE PROOFING

Proofing is an essential part of any training program.  Increase your dog’s confidence and consistency by helping him generalize rally and obedience skills and exercises through proofing!  Attendees will learn proofing techniques and then put them to practice with their dogs.

1pm-5pm                              OPEN/UTILITY PROBLEM SOLVING      

Open / Utility training and showing can often times be very challenging for both trainers and their dogs.  During this workshop, attendees will be learn how to break down skills and exercises to determine what exactly may be causing their dogs to make mistakes in the ring or training.
